Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

One of our most important jobs as a parent is to raise our children in the Lord. To love God and serve Him. In the business of life, work, caring for your family, extra-curricular actives, school, and the other events that quickly fill our days, it can be hard to devote the time we should to teaching our kids about the wonderful love of our Savior. Our family has certainly been guilty of being too busy on more than one occasion, but this summer we have renewed our focus on training our kids to know God and know about His Word.

And like it so often happens, we’ve ended up learning so much about God’s love, His mercy, and His blessings through the eyes of our children’s sweet souls. It’s no wonder Jesus tells us we must become like little children (Matthew 18:2-4).

Eva has been hard at work memorizing the books of the Old Testament. Click below to hear here sing the OT song.

Alana has wowed us all by quickly learning and falling in love with the song “Wonderful.” You can hear her sweet rendition below.

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
